Russian Furniture Restoration

There are a variety of different skills required to restore Russian Furniture. Principally, the most complex item to restore is the wooden cored brass moulding made in the French Style and used to adorn panel edges and panel insets.

These brass mouldings are sometimes not of a standard design or size. We have many design patterns already in our collection which are not readily available on the open market. We can reproduce brass mouldings to match undocumented designs.

Russian Furniture is similar to German Furniture in construction which is due to historical migration. Russian Furniture has to be dismantled, re-constructed and veneered with this in mind.

As with all services, our Russian Furniture Restoration services cover areas in Berkshire & Buckinghamshire including Windsor, Eton, Maidenhead, Ascot, Burnham, Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross. Including delivered items from all parts of the world.

Below is an example of the work we carried out on a Russian Secretaire Abbatont. This example had a complete re-construction with missing brass mouldings made and fitted. With a final refinishing of the polished surfaces.
